Topic: History of the Marietta City Cemetery
Speaker: Christa McCay
Christa McCay is the Collections Manager for the Marietta History Center (MHC) and the City of Marietta, Georgia. She has been at the Marietta History Center for 20 years, where her main duties include the acquisition, registration, and maintenance care of the MHC’s collection. In 2023, Christa received the GAM Museum Professional of the Year award. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Masters’ Degree in Heritage Preservation with an emphasis in Public History from Georgia State University.
Description:
Christa’s program will delve into the origins of the cemetery, notable residents and interesting stories that she has found during her research.
