Laura Halls graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Italian Language and Literature.She began working for IBM in Lexington, Kentucky, in the typing pool and spent her entire career with IBM.
Laura began genealogy research after retirement, and it’s now her favorite pastime.Laura has attended various genealogy classes and webinars through the years. She credits IGHR with giving her the best framework for success at “doing genealogy.” She hopes to pass useful information along to others. Laura is a member of NSDAR, LGAR, the Kentucky Historical Society, and genealogy societies of Georgia, Kentucky, and Oklahoma. She is a member of the CCGS Board, Family Tree Newsletter editor, and co-facilitator of the Technology in Genealogy SIG.
